[Reuter’s Agenct.j Good News for Farmers. New York. April 20. The American harvest prospects are unfavorable, owing to the crops generally having been severely damaged by frost. A Consolation Row. London, April 19. A sculling race took place to-day at Southampton between Edward Trickett and an oarsman named Kirby. The contest resulted in an easy victory for Trickett. Beaconsfield's FuneralApril 20. The executors of the will of the late Earl Beaconsfield have declined a proposal made by the Right Hon W. E. Gladstone that the funeral of deceased should be publicly performed. The will of the late Earl directs that the funeral should be of a most simple character, and that his body should be interred in his wife’s vault at Hughenden. The Greek Difficulty. In consequence of the continued difficulty in the way of a settlement of the Turco Greek frontier question, the Powers have now made proposals to the Governments of these countries that a convention should be held under their auspices with a view to bring about a complete and final determination of the frontier difficult}".
