Nominations for the Timaru Cup, Flying Handicap, S.C.J.C. Handicap, Hurdle Race, and Winter Oats Handicap to bs made to the Sccrctarj not later than Friday, March 18, at 8 p.m. Weights to be out on Thursday, April 21. Acceptances, with sweep and general entries, up to 8 p.m. on Monday, April 25. No entry will be received for any of the races except upon this condition —that all disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the racing, shall be decided by a majority of the Stewards present, or those whom they may appoint. Their decisions upon all points connected with the carrycarrying out of this programme shall be final. All entries and acceptances must he ir scaled covers, addressed to the Secretary Grosvenor Hotel, Timaru, and contain entrance money, sweepstakes, qualification fee, description, age, and name of lior.se, and colors to be worn by the jockey. Qualification fee to he enclosed with the nomination, or the nomination will be. invalid. South Ganlcrbury Jockey Club Rules will be strictly adhered to. In Hurdle races horses to qualify by jumping hurdle pa-t judge’s box. No person to enter a horse unless hols a subscriber of £2 2s to the fund, and nc person to nominate unless both owner and nominator bo subscribers of the same amount. In the event of any person entering a protest, the sum of £2 2s must bo lodged with the (Secretary before such protest is considered, this miiii So be forfeited to the funds should the Stewards consider the protest frivolous or vexatious. Five percent will he deducted from the gross of all moneys paid in accordance with tire programme, for expenses ; and when not otherwise .-pccilied, all entries and acceptances to go to the hinds. E.
