Messrs William Collins and Co. report that there was a good attendance at their sale on Saturday, and the following prices were realised ;-r-Potatoes, ,40s to 50s per ton ; flour, millers' £9 . bran 60s ; sharps, 70s , onionsj owing to the large quantities coming forw&rd, were difficult to move at 7s per cwt f cheese, 4d per lb ; butter. 8d per lb ; bacon, B£d per lb; eggs, Is per dozen ; fowls’ wheat, 4s to 6s per sack ; fowls, 3s ,6d per pair; geese. 7s 6d per couple ; turkeys, 6s each: .'ducks, none ; goldfinches, 25s per dozen ; parrots, 15s per pair '; box tea, 15s ; half-chest®, 60s ; sugar, 3|d to 4d per lb ; soap, Is per box! double barrel breech loading guns, £5 to £6 each.

Messrs George Priest and Go. report holding their first sale by auction in their new rooms, George street, near railway station, of farm and other produce, fruif, &c., when they had a fair attendance. They quote as follows Flour, £9 per ton ; sharps, 80s per ton ; bran, 70s per ton ; Derwent potatoes, 60s per ton ; onions, Id per lb ; bacon, 8d per lb ; hams, none offering ; cheese, 4d and 5d per lb ; tea, in boxes, 15s and 18s Gd each, an inferior sample offered ; oats brought from Is 3£d to Is 5d per bushel ; crockery, &c., Vendors’ reserves.

Grain and Grass-seed—Wheat ! Any lots of good milling offering are easily disposed at from 3s 4d to 3s 7d per bushel, according to samples. Oats are in good demand, feed parcels \yorih Is 3d to Is 6d per bushel. 1 Grass seed is in short supply prices have hardened during the past week or two, and may be quoted at from 3s 6d to 4s for medium, good clean 4s 3d per bushel.

The Temuka and Geraldine Agricultural and Pastoral Association’s annual ram and ewe fair took place on the Association grounds, near Winchester, pa Friday last, ahd was a decided success, both as -regard number of entries and the general interest taken in the affair.
