Sib, —James Wiggins must have been advised by some person to insert his advertisement in your publication of last night, to have him for an April fool. He ought to know, and I am sure the public knows, that the Bench can see as far through a door as he can, and they saw through my door, but saw no stealing, and therefore dismissed the case before I called my defence; and as , far as the wages question is concerned, he will he better to leave that alone till he answers to the summons lliave served him with.—l am, &c. Sib, —I am a creditor in the estate of - At the first meeting the debtor offered the creditors 3s 6d in the £, but it was not taken, as the rest of the creditors reckoned it would realise 15s in the £. Now this happened over 12 months ago, and I, as a creditor, have not received a sixpence, although the business has been sold; together with the plant and goodwill, and I believe some of the creditors have helped to strtrt the debtor again in business. I Have applied to the trustees in the estate, but I can get neither any satisfaction or money from them. Now, Mr Editor, would you kindly inform me as to how 1 am to proceed in the matter. I may state that I was the only creditor who was willing to take 5s in the £, the rest of the creditors fondly imagining we would get 16s in the £. —I am, &c.
A CEEDITOE.
[We would recommend our correspondent to communicate with some of the other creditors in the estate vith a view to joint action being taken to secure from the trustees a statement of accounts. The trustees are bound under the Act to give an account of the way in which bankrupt estates are disposed of, but we believe, if so disposed, they can take their time over it. — Ed. Times.]
