It has transpired that confidential communications have. passed between Government and the leaders of the Opposition in the Legislative Council with a view to bringing about harmony on the Reform question. A Treat for Old Chums. The Orient Company's s.s. Lusitania, from Plymouth, is bringing large quantities of frozen fish to the colonies. Another Yankee Triumph. The Jury of the Fine Arts section of of the International Exhibition have awarded the American Waltham Watch Company first order of merit for engraving and enamelling. The Company thus takes the highest award for watches. A Frolicsome Commodore. Sydney, March. 31. It is announced that Commodore Wilson, commanding the Australian squadron, has made arrangements for a naval review and sham fight on a scale of great magnificence, and that the manoeuvres are to be carried out OO Tuesday, April 12.
