[Reutee’s Agenct.l Tbe Rev George Brown Wanted. * Sydney, March. 29. Yesterday news came to hand from New Guinea that four native teachers, with their wives and families, have been murdered by the natives. The Reform Battle. Melbourne, March 29. It has transpired that Government has decided to proceed with the business in the Legislative Assembty, in expectation of the Legislative Council reversing the ruling of the President, by which it was decided that the Reform Bill should not be received from the Assembly for consideration. In the Legislative Council this evening a motion, introduced by the Hon Mr Read, a Government supporter, disagreeing with the President’s ruling in regard to the Reform Bill, was negatived after a debate. It has transpired, how ever, that at a caucus of members of the Council it was agreed to waive the technical grounds of the objection to the reception of a Reform Bill from the Assembly, and to proceed with the consideration of the measure on its merits.
