A box containing forty pounds of gunpowder, with a burning fuso attached, was found last night on the ledge of the -wall of the Mansion House. A Fight for a Soldier* A somewhat serious disturbance took place to-day at Aldershot, A drunken Irish soldier was being arrested by the police, when a number of civilian sympathisers endeavored to prevent his being taken into custody. A riot ensued and lasted for some time, but was finally quelled by fresh bodies of police arriving on the scene, and overpowering the rioters, numbers of whom were arrested.
