MAIL NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Post Office Timaru, for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under : Wednesday, March 16.
For Australian Colonies per Arawata, at 4 p.m.
For Northern Ports of New Zealand, New South Wales, and Queensland, per Eotomahana, at 4 p.m. For the United Kingdom, via Brindisi, per Arawata, as under : Ordinary letters at 3.30 p.m. Money orders, and registered letters at 2.30 p.m. Late fee letters at the Chief Post Office till 4 p.m. All letters intended for the above route must he specially addressed. Saturday, March 19. For Northern Ports of New Zealand per Wanaka, at 2.50 p.m.
The next mail for the United Kingdom via San Francisco, will close at Timaru on Saturday, March 26, and will be due at San Francisco, on Thursday, April 21, and at London on Saturday, May 10, 1881. “ (Signed) W. W. 'Beswick, Acting Chief Postmaster. Chief Post Office, Timaru, March 14, 1881.
