[Reuter's Agency,! A Successful Explosion. Melbourne, March 5. As the turret ship Cerchous was practising yesterday afternoon in Port Phillip Bay she was suddenly blown up by a torpedo. Five men on board were blown to atoms. One one was saved. Colonial Enterprise. A company is being formed here to undertake the refining of sugar. The capital will be £IOO,OOO. Martial Ardour Repressed. Adelaide, March G. Earl Kimberley, Secretary of State for the Colonics, has telegraphed to the Governor, declining, with thanks, the offer made by a number of Volunteers of this city to proceed to the Cape for service against the Boers.
