- ' [By Cable.] N.S.W. AND VICTORIA v. AUSTRALIAN ELEVEN. Sydney, March 5. Tin; cricket match between the Australian team and a combined eleven of New South Wales and Victoria was resumed to-day. The Australians in their first innings were all disposed of for 155 runs, being 42 runs less than the total of their opponents’ first innings. Murdoch with G 5 and Blackham with 3G, both bowled, were the highest scorers for the Australians. The combined team went to the wickets for their second innings, but play was stopped through the inclemency of the weather, when they had put together 74 runs ftw two wickets. Massie was bowled for 50. There was a large attendance at the match.
