Starters to pay a sweep of 5 sovs to go to the second horse. 2.30 p.m.—Timaru Cup, a handicap of 200 sovs, with a sweepstake of 5 sovs for acceptors ; amount accruing from the sweep to go to the second horse ; nomination, 2 sovs; acceptance, 4 sovs ; distance, If miles. 3.45 p.m. — Flying Handicap, of 50 sovs; nomination, 1 sov ; acceptance, 1 sov; distance f of a mile, 4.30 p.m. — Selling Hack Race, of 50 sovs, presented by M. Jonas, Esq., 30 sovs to go to the. first horse and 20 sovs to the second horse, both first and second horses to be sold and the entire proceeds to go to the race fund; distance, 11 miles; no weight under 9st; entrance, 1 sov.
