Cooper, Auckland ; Crossman, Nelson ; Somerville, Wanganui ; Still, Wanganui, each 71.
Burr. Wellington ; Hunter, Waiuiia; F.France,Wellington; Ricketts,Waimia; Downie, Thames ; Armstrong, Thames ; Fowler, Waimea ; Harding, Oaraaru ; Anderson, Clutha, each 70.
Turner, Blenheim ; Brooks, Dunedin ; Johnson, Dunedin; Ellis, Nelson; Huzlett, Auckland ; Woolley, Thames, each G 9.
Paynter also takes Hodgson’s Cup for highest aggregate in Matches 1 and 8, and also holds the Marlboro Cup for this year as winner of No. 8 Match.
The citizens’ * and brewers’ prize match is now in progress. 200, 400, and 500 yards, 7 shots at each. Open to all members of the Association. First prize, a cup, presented by citizens, and £2O ; second, tea and coffee service, presented by brewers, and £l2; third, umbrella stand, presented by Messrs Mountray and Crosbie, and £10; fourth, 2 cwt. of flour, presented by Rutherford, and £5 ; also a number of smaller prizes.
