THE WRECKED BRIG CLEMATIS.

The s.s. Penguin, on coming up from the South yesterday, stopped off the Long Look-out point, and sent one of b°ats off to the wreck. The chief officer of the Penguin, Mr Popham, who was in charge of the boat, reports that fihp had slipped off the rock, and was lying somewhat on her side, her mainjard being above wateiv The vessel was moving with each heave of the sea. AH the running gear had been coiled up va the tops, and the yards were intact. The spot where the vessel hud gone down was described as between two and three cables’ lengths from the main land. The crew of the brig came into port in their boat yesterday afternoon, which was towed up by the schooner Cleopatra.
