DUNEDIN TRAIN IN& NOTES
[By Telegraph,]
Dunedin, Feb. 19,
Sir Modred did a fine four mile gallop this morning, going well. Titania and Sylvanus were out early and did a fast mile and a-half. Nautilus and Atlantic were sent twice round with the sweaters on. Kitchens’ other two Happona and Boughleen Dhoun followed suit. The two King Philip colts with Moabird in attendance did a Champagne distance at a pretty fast pace. Our Pony did a lot of work, both looking and going well. King Cole and Maud were sent a mile at a good speed, the latter having the best of the finish. Carrigeen was treated to two rounds on the tan, and Foster took Sailor Boy round over the hurdles. A number of horses did walking exercise. Sir Modred is a great favorite for the Cup. Prices on field are Gto 1 bar one. No betting of any consequence has yet taken place. The racing privileges realised £587.
