TPer “Times” Special Wire.] Xiondon Wool Sales. Wellington, Feb. 19. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency report, under date London, Feb. 15 :—The wool sales opened flatly on the 15th. They comprise about 280,000 bales, 28,000 liave_ been sent to the manufacturing districts direct, and 4800 taken for export. Tbe New Agrent.General. The Government have received a cablegram to tbe effect that Sir I’. D. Bell yesterday assumed office as Agent General. Wheat for Xiondon. Lyttelton, Feb. 19. Sailed—Wairaate, ship, for London, with a full cargo, and forty passengers. Paper Manufacture. Dunedin, Feb. 19. The “Herald” says that a large Scotch paper manufacturing firm have cn route for Otago, a complete plant and machinery for a large paper mill, for the manufacture of printing paper. Destruction of Farm Produce. A seven stalled stable, and 2000 bushels of oats, on the farm of C. G, Thurston, at Crookston, have been burned.
