Handicap; acceptances after the Hurdle Race. 1.30 p.m.—Consolation Handicap, of 00 sovs ; post ©ntry, 1 sov ; distance, 1 mile. RULES AND REGULATIONS. Nominations for the Timaru Cup, Flying Handicap, B.C.J.C. Handicap, Hurdle Race, and Winter Oats Handicap to be made to the Secretary not later than Friday, March 18, at 8 p.m. Weights to bo out on Thursday, April 21. Acceptances, with sweep and general entries, up to 8 p.m. on Monday, April 25. No entry will be received for any of the r,aces except upon this condition—that all disputes, claims, and objections arising put of the racing, shall bo decided by a runjiririty of the Stewards present, or those whom’ they may appoint. Their decisions upon i'll points connected with the carrycarrying dud of this programme shall be final. All entries and acceptances must be in sealed co vers, addressed to the Secretary, Grosvenoi- Hotel, Timaru, and contain entrance money, sweepstakes, qualification fee, description, age, and name of horse, and colors to be worn by the jockey. Qualification, fee to be enclosed with the nomination, or the nomination will be invalid. South Canterbury Jockey Club Rules will be strictly adriered to. In Hurdle races horses to qualify by jumping hurdle past judge’s bos. No person to enter a horse unless he is a subscriber of £2 2s to the fund, and no person to nominate unless both owner and nominator be subscribers of the same amount. In the event of any person entering a protest, the sum of 112 2s must be lodged with the Secretary before such protest is considered, this sum to be forfeited to the ffinuds should the Stewards consider the protest frivolous or vexatious. Five percent will be deducted from the gross of all moneys paid in accordauce with the programme, for expenses ; and when not otherwise specified, all entries and acceptances to go to the funds. E.
