MAIL NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Post Office Timaru, for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) ns under : Saturday; Feb. 12. For Northern Ports of New Zealand, per Penguin, at 2.50 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 10. For Hie Australian Colonics, per Ringarooma, at 4 p.m. The next mail for the United Kingdom via San Francisco, will close at limaru on Saturday, Feb. 26, and will be due at-"an Francisco, on March 24, and at London on April 12, 1881. The Stella will he despatched from the Bluff for the West Coast Sounds about the middle of February. Mails will close at Timaru for all Post Offices at the Sounds on or about Feb 12. (Signed) W. W.
