GERALDINE ROAD BOARD.
The usual monthly meeting of the Board was held on Tuesday. Present— Messrs W. Postlethwaite (Chairman), William Deßenzy, Frederic R. Flatman. The following tenders were considered:—

Prom Mr Wm. Gapes, requesting that the Hoard metal the road leading from Gapes’ Valley towards the Kakahu Hush.
The [clerk to reply that the work applied for has been let. From Mr Edwin Cuthbert, enclosing a testimonial from Mr Wm. Conyers, Commissioner of [Railways, and others. From Mr Stack, stating his inability to attend the meeting, being busy with his harvest.
From Mr Thomas Gregon, requesting an extension of time for one month. Granted, it being harvest time. From George King, Christchurch, objecting to being rated for property he did not possess. From the Temuka Hoad Board, requesting to be informed if the land where the new bridge, lately erected near Sharp’s, has been legally dedicated to the Geraldine Hoad Board. Resolved —•“ That the Board take immediate steps to get the land conveyed.” From the Mount Peel Board, forwarding an account for work done on the boundary road amounting to £24 Os 7d. Resolved—“ That the same be paid.” The Overseer’s report was read and considered, and the following resolution
passed,:—“That! tlic work at Pleasant Valley Point be done.” The Inspector of Nuisances reported that the sanitary state of ; the district was very satisfactory. : - Proposed by'Mr Platman,.seconded by Mr De Hcnzy, and carried- That Mr William Postlethwaite be elected a membef'-pf the Tiinaru Harbor Board.” Accounts to the amount of £274 Is 9d were passed for payment and the Board adjourned.
