S. C. Times Office. Monday Evening. Messrs William Collins and Co. report holding their regular weekly market and sale by auction on Saturday last of produce and general merchandise. The attendance was'large and buyers in abundance at the following figures, which, taken all round, must be considered satisfactory to the ownersFarmers’ Hour, £7; millers’ £10; hen feed, os to 7s per sack; feed oats, Is 4d per bushel; Akaroa cheese, 3Jd to 5d per b; honey, 3|d; fowls, 2s 6d to 4s per pair; geese, 7s. couple ; hams, 9d ; bacon, 6d to 8d per lb. They also sold under the hammer during the day (on account of whom it may concern) a line of groceries, when the undermentioned prices were obtained:—Tea, ex Alexa and Menmuir, GOs to 70s; boxes, 17s; American salmon, 9s per doz; 2 crown soap, 13s per cwt.; No 1 Co. sugar, 4Jd per lb ; china, glass and earthenware, furniture, and oddments were largely sought after at consignors’ reserves. Wellington, Jan. 7. Messrs Laery and Campbell report: — Apples quiet, without demand ; peaches according to sample, from Cs to 10s per case; pears, 5s Cd to 7s ; plums, 5s to Gs per half-case ; pine apples, 4s to 5s per dozen : Sib rian crabs, 5s Gl ptr half-case ; damsons, 7s 6d per half-case ; cucumbers, Is 4d to Is 5 I ; potatoes, £3, and very dull of sale ; onions. Gs to 6s Gd, no demand ; eggs. Is 2d to Is 3d ; no fresh butter since last report; fowls, 4s per pair; ducks, 4s 3d per pair; geese, 3s Pd each ; cheese, Hi to od ; bacon, 8d to 9d,
