[Pee “Times” Special Wise.] Serious Accidents. , Christchurch, Feb. 5. At Gallon’s Bay, Lyttelton, this morning, a stone weighing from 30 to 40 pounds, rolling down the hill-side, struck a girl of 12 years, daughter of Mr Edg«ar, on the head, causing Concussion of the brain. It is feared the accident will terminate fatally. J. Cook, greengrocer, while driving along the wharf at Lyttelton was jolted out of his cart and fell heavily on his head on the rails. He was severely injured. Amusements. Dunedin, Feb. 5. Reynold’s benefit attracted the largest house ever seen in Dunedin for years. The building was packed. He announced that he had just received a cablegram from Williamson closing with an early appearance here with the “ Juvehile Pinafore Company.”
