MAIL NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Post Office Timaru, for' the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under : Saturday, Feb, 5, For Northern Ports of JSew Zealand per Wanaka, at 2.50 p. u. Tuesday, Feb. 8.
For the United Kincdom, via Brindisi, the Continent of Europe, India, Africa, China, and Mediterranean Torts, as follows :
Money orders, and registered letters at 2.30 p m. Ordinary letters at 3.30 p.m. Late fee leCers will be received at the Chief Tost Office,fill 4 p.m., The European portion of the above mail will be due in London on March 31, 1831.
The Stella will he despatched from the Bluff for the West Coast Sounds about the middle of February. Mails will close at Timaru for all Post Offices at the Bounds on or about Feb 12. (Signed) W. W. Berwick, Acting Chief Postmaster. Chief Post Office, Timaru, Jan 31, 1881.
