Handicap; acceptances after the Hurdle Race. 4.30 p.m.— Consolation Handicap, of 30 sovs ; post ©ntry, 1 sov ; distance, 1 mile. RULES AND REGULATIONS. Nominations for the Timaru Cup, Flying Handicap, S.C.J.C. Handicap, Hurdle Race, aud Winter Oats Handicap to ba made to the Secretary not later than Friday, March 18, at 8 p.m. Weights to be out on Thursday, April 21. Acceptances, with sweep and general entries, up to 8 p.m. on Monday, April 25. No entry will be received for any of the races except upon this condition—that all disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the racing, shall be decided by a majority of the Stewards present, or those whom they may appoint. Their decisions upon all points connected with the carrycarrying out of this programme shall be final. All entries and acceptances must be in sealed covers, addressed to the Secretary, Grosvenor Hotel, Timaru, and contain entrance money, sweepstakes, qualification ; Tee, description, age, and name of horse, i :and colors to bo worn by the jockey. (Qualification fee to be enclosed with the nomination, or the nomination will be 1 iuralid. South Canterbury Jockey Club Rules will "be strictly adhered to. In Hurdle races horses to qualify by jumping hurdle past judge’s box. No person <o enter a horse unless ho is a subscriber of £2 2s to the fund, and no person to nominate unless both owner and j nominator be subscribers of the same amount. In the event of any person (nfaying a protest, the sum of £2 2» must be lodged with the Secretary before such protest is considered, this sum to be forfeited to the funds should the Stewards .consider the protest frivolous or vexatious. Five per cent will be deducted from the gross of all moneys paid in .accordance ■with tke programme, for expanses ; and •when not otherwise spccitied, all entries aud acceptances to go to thefuuda.
