The usual weekly meeting of the Alexandra Lodge 1.0.G.T. was held in the Lodge-room, Clayton’s store, Sandietowh, last evening. There was a good attendance of members, and seven candidates were proposed for membership. It was arranged that the Lodge meet every Wedesday evening at 7.30 p.m. instead of on Tuesday. The balance sheet of the Harbor Board for the year 1880, shews that a sum of £55,171 remained at the- end of the year for the further extension of the harbor works. , '' Attention is directed to an announcement in reference to an extensive sale of Crown lands in the North Island. Our readers are reminded that a concert in aid of the Benevolent Society’s funds will be given by the Harmonic Society this evening/ in the Presbyterian church. The cause is one that needs no recommendation, the programme is attractive, and the pews, we trust, will be crowded.
