' No entry will be received for any of tho races except;upon this condition —that all disputes, claims, and objections arising out pf the racing, shall be decided by a majority of the Stewards piesent, or those whom they may appoint. Their decisions upon all points connected with tho carry* carrying out of this'programme shall be final. , All entries and acceptances must bo m sealed covers, addressed to the Secretary, Grosvenor Hotel, Timaru,. and contain entrance money, sweepstakes, qualification fee, description, age, and name of. horse, and colors to be worn by the jockey. IllVtlUU. }ll South Canterbury Jockey Club Rules Will be strictly adhered to. In Hurdle races horses to qualify by jumping hurdle pa-t judge s box. The Club has adopted the Victorian new scale of weight for age. No person ♦o enter a horse unless he is a subscriber of £2 2s to the fund, and no person to nominate unless both owner and nominator be subscribers of the same amount. In the event of any person c ntcring a protest, the sum of £2 2s must be lodged with the Secretary before such protest is considered, this sum to be forfeited to the funds should the Stewards consider the protest frivolous or vexatious. ( In all weight-for-age races, the S.C.J.O. weight-for-age scale will be adhered to, The decision of the Stewards to be iinal in all cases. I'ism per cent will be deducted from the gross of all moneys paid in accordance with the programme, for expenses ; and when not otherwise specified, all entries and acceptances to go to the funds. E.
