It rained in the night and the weather was damp. When the match was resumed Slight was soon caught off Ellis for 17. Palmer made 11, and Groube played a steady innings, but was let off by the umpire, who should have given him out caught. Eingsland bowled very well and the runs came slow. At the adjournment Blackham and Groube were still in. The following are the scores : Slight, c Morrison, b Ellis 17 Palmer, c Nash, Ivingshmd ... 11 Blackham, not out ... ... ... 5 Groube, not out 20 Byes ... ... ... ... 4 Leg-byes 2 Widcs 0 Total 193 LATER. The Australians were out at 3.15 p.m. for 200.
