Wreck of a Brigantine.

Auckland, Jan. 18

The schooner Myrtle, just arrived, brings news of the wreck at Tonga of the Auckland brigantine Active. The vessel drifted ashore at Samoa in a calm and became a total wreck. The passengers crew and cargo from Auckland were all saved. The wreck was sold to Mr Sorenson for £3O. The Active was owned by W. Owen and Brown (Whangaroa) and McArthur and Co. (Auckland). She was insured in the New Zealand for £750, and in the Union for £350. Stowaways. Christchurch, Jan. 18.
