An Exhibition of industry and art has been opened at Fasque, The exhibition has been organised by the Misses Gladstone. At Liverpool recently a young lady was fined 5s for refusing to keep to the right when descending one of the approaches to the landing stages. At the end of 1879 the English Court of Chancery possessed securities to the amount of £76,502,206, which it held in trust for the owners, whose estates are administered by Chancery. Howell, the famous long distance pedestrian, has won recently the Astley belt for the third time, making the greatest score on record, viz., 566 miles. He was not pushed, and claims that he can walk 600 miles in the six days.
