[Reutee’s Agency.] A Triumph for Victoria. Melhouene, Dec. 20. In the Inter-colonial cricket match,. Victoria v. New South Wales, former won the match by two wickets. Queensland Illuminated. A destructive lire occurred last night,, at Whares and Petrie’s liicjht, on the Brisbane river. It broke out in the' night, and raged for some time, doing considerable damage to property, thou"k the destruction was not so great as it was at first feared it would be. The' actual extent of the loss is not known. The insurances comprise £2OOO in the South British, half of which is reinsured in the National and Colonial 6f : New Zealand; also £IOO in theStandard ,and £3OO in the National.
