‘ Dunedin, Dec. 23. Wheit— Prime samples are in good demand, and are saleable at 4s {ld per bnsbe!; ordinary, from 4s Id to 4s (Id ; inferior, 2s (51 to 3s. At Burnside best bullocks brought £lO to £l3 15s ; others, £(5 10s to £0 15s; cows, from £5 5s to £l2 10s—or equal to 21s per lOOlbs for prime, 20s medium quality. Fat calves 40s to 50s each. Fat Sheep- -A moderate supply came forward for this week’s market —viz., 18(5(5; this included 820 merino wethers, the rest crossbreds of mutton and prime quality. The trade bought freely, and prices showed some improvement on low rates. Crossbreds brought -7s (id to 12s ltd,a few extra at 23s (id ; merino wethers, -5s 3d to (ss. MELBOURNE,PRODUCE MARKET. The N.Z.L and M. Agency Co., report under date Dec. S:— Flour is moving off at £1) 10s per ton. Wheat is easier. At the auction sales to-day the highest figure realised for old wheat was Is 3d per bushel. Ordinary to good realised from 3s 10.1 to 4s, and good to superior from 4s 2d to 4s 3d. Barley shows some activity. Ordinary feeding has found buyers at from 2s Id to 2s sd, while superior descriptions have sold up to 2s (id, and malting up to 3s Hid. Oats are moving off at, for feeding 2s Id to 2s 41., and stout descriptions up to 2s 8J
