The report of the Audit Commissioner, laid before tire assembly, showed that on the 30th June last there ivas a deficiency of £567,037, which was made up c£ re-invested trust funds £3C8,61G, and overdraft at Bank £250,321. There was also £200,000 due from, the revenue fund, making £760,037. Tu regard to the Embassy accounts, it n r as stated that £3561 Avas the exact amount expended, leaving £lO6l to be paid to the Treasury and £370 transmissions from England. The cost of telegrams, amounting to £l2l was not included in this expenditure. The house proceeded with the estimates.
