TIMATJIT—THIS DAY, [Before R, Beetliam, Esip, R.M,,] PIirXkKN'XKSS. A female inebriate with a little child in her arms was charged with being drunk and disorderly yesterday. The police stated that the young woman was tire wife of a resident and was very drunk when arrested. His Wor ship observed that it was a disgraceful thing for a young woman with children to bo brought up on a charge of this kind. She would be discharged this time but had better be very careful in future. ItUKACJI OF THE IiVI.VWS. Jas, Wylie was ’charged with committing a breach of the borough byelaws by driving sheep through the streets during the prohibited hours. The defendant pleaded “ Guilty,” and was lined the nominal sum of Is and costs. civil. CASK, Ritchie r Corkeran. Claim, £55 10s Mr Perry for plaintiff; Mr Hamers* ley for defendant. Adjourned on the application of Mr Hamerslcy until Jan. 11.
