TIMARU REGATTA.
SECOND EDITION
The regatta, which had to be postponed on account of the weather and state of the, sea yesterday, will be held all things being favorable —tomorrow. This afternoon the committee held a meeting. Present—Messrs F. Smith (in the chair), M. White, P. Stansell, White, Bradley, Graham, Cun - mings. Captain Mills, Newberry, Hill, and King (secretary). It was proposed by Captain Mills, seconded by Mr Bradley and carried—“ That the regatta be held to-morrow (weather permitting), commencing at 10 a.m.” This course has been adopted for a variety of reasons. It was considered that the circus to-morrow will attract a large number of spectators from the eountrv, the weather has every appearance of being favorable, and if the events were postponed to a future day, besides the risk of clashing with other sports, there would be a difficulty in getting the boats and crews together again.
