Mrs Myra Bradwell, the editor in chief of the “ Legal News, was once according to the “ Inter-Ocean, asked what was her idea of woman’s rights. “The best” said she, “is to delude one man into the idea that the Lord never made another such woman as herself. Dcesa, a Eurasian, the youth who fired a pistol at LordLytton last Christmas, has been put on trial before the Calcutta High Court. The jury found that he fired the shot, but that he was of unsound mind. He was ordered to be confined during Her Majesty’s pleasure. ■ Madame Rachel, of " beautiful for ever” fame, died in prison.
