(Per Ringarooma at the Bluff.) GENERAL ROBERTS HONOEED. THE IRISH LAND QUESTION. ANOTHER GENERAL ELECTION. NORTH GERMAN ENTERPRISE. AN ANGLO-TURK DISGRACED. London, Dec. 3. The Corporation of the City of London will present the freedom of the city and a sword of honor to General Roberts for his recent distinguished services. Dee. 4 Besides drastic land Legislation for Ireland the Government are expected to propose a Maintainance of Order Bill. It is believed that next years’ Legislative proposals in regard to land will occasion a general election. The “ Times” states that the North German Banks are aiding the establishment of a line of steamers between Hamburg and Australia. The Porte has dismissed Prank Ives Scudamore, 0.8., from his position as Director-General of the Turkish Postal and Telegraph Service, owing to serious personal irregularities. Scudamore was formerly director of the telegraphic service in England.
