Reed writes contradicting emphatically the statement made in the daily papers that he has arranged with the Loan and Mercantile Agency to take over a block at Poverty Bay for special settlers, lie says he has not had any transaction with any loan company in New Zealand, his arrangements with his special settlers precluding the necessity for any such arrangement.
