MAIL NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Post Office Timaru, for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under : Saturday, Dec. 4. For Northern I’orts of New Zealand, per Taiaroa, at 2.50 p.m. For the United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, America, West Indies, China and Japan, via San Francisco, and the Sandwich Islands, as follows: — Ordinary letters at 2.30 p.m. Late fee letters at the Chief Post Office a, till 2.50 p.m., and at the Railway travelling Post Office mail van (Northern Express train) till 3.20.
