S. C. Times Office. Monday Evening. Messrs Wildie, Allan, and Stumbles report for week as follows : Fat Cattle —Our transactions have been 12 head at £8 15s. Store Cattle —The demand for all classes still continues good. Our transactions for the week piivately have been 44 head, ten to fifteen months, at £2 18s (51 ; 10 head, eighteen months to two years, at £4: 3 yearlings, at £2 10s; 20 head, twelve to fifteen months, at £3. At our regular monthly sale, held at Pleasant Point on Friday, the 2(ith inst., we sold 145 head as follows ;—For twelve, fifteen, and eighteen months old steers and heifers, 14 at £2 7s (id, 15 at £2 7s fid, 20 at £3 ss, 20 at £3 3s fid, 8 at £2, 18 at £3 2s fid, 7 at £3 14s, 11 at £3 8s fid, 19 two-year-old steeis, at £4 8s fid, 2at £4 17s fid, lat £3 17s fid, 4 heifers at £3 10s to £slos, 2 fat steers at £7l2s fid, 1 cow at £fi 15s, 1 young bull at £3 10s. We also sold the right to graze the Pleasant Point Park reserve for fourteen months at 8s fid per acre. Sheep—Enquiries are very numerous for all kinds of stores. We. have sold during the week 717 merino wethers, full mouth, in the wool, at 9s fid. Horses—There is a fair demand for good heav3 - draught sorts, fit for farm or contractors, but few ollering. A few hacks and light harness horses were entered on Saturday, the majority of which were sold at quotations. Wo quote staunch heavy draughts at from £35 to £42 ; medium do, from £2(5 to £32; light do, from £ls to £24; hacks and light harness horses, from £fi to £24, as per description. Messrs AVilliam Collins and Co. report holding their weekly market and sale by auction on Saturday last at their rooms. The attendance was fully up to the average, with an equal proportion of buyers. Produce of all descriptions was in good supply and demand. The following are the figures obtained for the lines actually quitted: Flour, (millers) £10; farmers’do, £7 to £8; bran, 70s; pollard, 70s; oats, Is 2d per bushel; all faults, 2s 9d per sack; fowl wheat is to Gs per sack ; hams and bacon 8d per lb all round ; butter 4d; honey, 4d ; eggs, Is per doz; fowls, 4s fid per pair, supply not equal to demand; groceries, furniture, and sundries, fetched fair rates.
