MAIL NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Post Office Timaru, for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) os under : Saturday, Nov. 20. For Northern Ports of New Zealand, per Wanaka, at 2.50 p.m. Monday, Nov. 22. For Northern Ports of New Zealand per Penguin, at (1 a.m. The next mail for the United Kingdom via San Francisco, will close at the Chief Post Office, Timaru, on Saturday, Dec. 4, and will be due in San Francisco on Thursday', Dec. 50, and at London, on Tuesday, Jan. 18, 1881. A receiving box has been erected at Messrs P. W. Hutton and Co.’s, Main South road, which will be cleared as follows:—9.ls a.m., 12.10 p.m., 5.10 p.m., and 8 p.m. N.B. —Newspapers must not be posted in the above box. .(Signed) W, W.
