Mails 'close at the Chief Post Office Timaru, for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under : Thursday, Nov. 11. For Northern Ports of New Zealand, and New South Wales and Queensland, per Arawata, at 6 a.m. For Australian Colonics, per Te Anau, at 4 p.m, Saturday, Nov. 18. For Northern Ports of New Zealand per Penguin, at 2.50 a.m. A receiving box has been erected at Messrs P. W. Hutton and Co.’s, Main South road, which will be cleared as fol-lows:—9.-15 a.m., 12.10 p.m., 8.10 p.m., and 8 p.m. N.B.—Newspapers must not be posted in the above box. (Signed) W. W.
