MAIL NOTICES.
Mails 'close at the Chief Post Office Timaru, for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under : Tuesday, Nov. 9 (Prince of Wales’ Birthday) being a Post-office holiday, all mails usually despatched on Tuesday will close at 8 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 8. The office will be open to the public on Monday, Nov. 8, from 8 to 9 p.m., when letters may be obtained at the delivery department, also those usually delivered by the letter-carriers. Thursday, Nov, 11. For Australian Colonies per Tc Anau, at i p.m. A receiving Jbox has been erected at Messrs P. W. Hutton and Co.’s, Main South road, which will be cleared as follows: 9. i0 a.m., 12.10 p.m., 8.10 p.m., and 8 p.m. N.B.—Newspapers must be posted in the above box. (Signed) W. W.
