Mails close at the Chief Post Office Timaru, for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under : Tuesday, Nov. 2, For Northern Ports of New Zealand per Penguin, at fi a.m. Thursday, Nov. 4. For Northern Ports of New Zealand, per Rotorua, at G a.m. Saturday, Nov. 6. For Northern Ports of New Zealand, per Taiaroa, at 2.50 p.m. The next mail for the United Kingdom via San Francisco, will close at Timaru on Saturday, Nov. fi, and will be due in London, on Dec. 21, 1880.
