SALE OF PRIVILEGES.
SECOND EDITION
The privileges in connection with the sports meeting of the Titnaru Amateur Athletic Club, which takes place on the Prince of Wales’ birthday, were this morning submitted to auction by Mr Win. Collins. The attendance was very large, the bidding brisk, and the prices realised satisfactory, as the following particulars will prove : —(1) general license booth, £IG; (2) temperance ditto, £ll ; gates, £39 ; right of sports and games, &c., £10; cards, £2 10s. The whole of the privileges, with the exception of the last, were purchased by Mr Thomas Richmond of the Melvillg Hotel. The cards were purchased by Mr Atkinson. The total sum realised was £7B 10s, £l7 more than the last sports privileges of this club brought.
