[Pee “Times” Special Wise.] The Te Aroha Coldfield. Auckland, Oct. 25 Sir George Grey writes from Kawau that he has been too ill to attend any business, but hopes to visit the Thames shortly. Telegrams from Hamilton and Waikato state that the natives have found rich stone at Te Aroha, on a hill behind O’Hallorun’s hotel, and in consequence there is a great rush to the ground, which is being pegged off for a considerable distance. The Resident Magistrate dismissed the information against Walkey, the publican, for keeping open after hours. Accidental Death. At an inquest held on the body of the boy Heaton, a verdict was returned that death resulted from a throw from his horse.
