WAIMATE STOREKEEPERS IN TROUBLE.
At the Waimate R.M. Court tin's morning before R. Beetham, Esq., R.M., F. Gascoigne and Messrs Cameron Bros., storekeepers, of Waimate, were charged on the information of certain local chemists with selling poisons, (chlorodync, A'C.), without being registered under the Act of 1871.
The offence having been proved, the defendants were fined 10s each. Messrs Manchester Brothers and Goldsmith, another firm of storekeepers, were then charged with selling poisons without affixing proper lablcs to the bottles.
A fine of 10s was also imposed in this case.
