Public Notices. IMARU AGRICULTURAL AND PASTORAL ASSOCIATION. THF FIFTEENTH ANNUAL EXHIBITION OF STOCK, AGRICULTURAL PRODUCE, AND FARM IMPLEMENTS, Will be held on the Association’s New Grounds, Wai-iti Road, ON TUESDAY and WEDNESDAY, OCT. 26 and 27. The Association offers Prizes of Plate, Money and Medals, in each class, viz : Horses, Cattle, Sheep, Pigs, Poultry and Agricultural Produce, &c, and the following PRIVATE PRIZES. Messrs F. Archer, J. T. Ford & Co., and W. Evans give a Piece of Plate to the Largest Prize-taker in Merino Sheep. Value £2l. New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company give a Silver Cup to the Largest Prize-taker in Longwool Sheep. Value £2 - . The Timaru Drapers give a Piece of Plate to the Largest Prize taker in Draught Horses. Value £2l. Several Gentlemen give a Pigskin Saddle and Bridle for the Best (Hunter Class) Performer over 3 Flights of Hurdles. Value £l2 12, National Mortgage and Agency Company give a Piece of Plate to the Largest Prize-taker in Short-horned Cattle. Value £lO 10s. The Timaru Butchers give a Prize to the Largest Prize-taker in Fat Cattle. Value £lO 10s. NeWjZealand and Australian Land Company give Cup for the best Yearling Colt or Filly by “ Farmers’ Fancy.” The Company will not compete for the Prize. Value, £6 6s. Messrs Jonas, Hart and Wildie give a Piece of Plate for the best Draught Entire, , owned by a Resident in South Canterbury. Value, £5 ss. Messrs Maclean and Stewart give a Piece of Plate for the Largest Prize-taker in Draught Stock, being a Resident in South Canterbury. Value, £5 ss. Licensed Victuallers give a Piece of Plate to the Largest Prize-taker in Pigs. £5 ss. Licensed Victuallers give a Piece of Plate to the Largest. Prize-taker in Ayrshire Cattle and Best Dairy Cow Class. Value, £5 ss. Mr Evans (President), gives a Piece of Plate for the best Thoroughbred Entire. Value, £5 ss. P. Cunningham and Co. give a Piece of Plate to the Largest Aggregate Scorer in Agricultural Produce. Value, £5 ss. Timaru Grocers give a Cup for the most Points in all Classes of Butter. Value, £4 4s. Timaru Grocers give a Cup for the most Points in Cheese. Value, £4 4s. Timaru Grocers give a Cup for the most Points in Ham and Bacon. Value, £4 4s. Messrs G. and T. Young give a Piece of Plate for the Largest Scorer in all Classes of Dairy Produce, Hams and Bacon included. Value, £3 10s. Mr John Kelland gives a Prize to the Largest Scorer in Points taken by a Farmer farming over 200 acres, and under 400—of £3 3s. Mr John Kelland gives a Prize to the Largest Scorer in Points taken by a Farmer farming under 200 acres. Value, £2 2s. Mr S. Shappere gives a Piece of Plate to the Largest Prize taker in Poultry. Value, £3 10s. A. Blytt gives a Piece of Plate for the Best Display of Fancy Butter not less than Two Pound. Value £2. The Trustees of the late John Cramond give a First Prize of £3, and Second Prize of £2, for the best Two-year-old Colt or Filly by Draught Entire “ Young Royal Conqueror.” Mr (James Sullivan gives a Prize of Six Guineas for the Best Yearling Colt or Filly by “ Young Conqueror.”
