A meeting of the Education Board to consider the unhappy condition of affairs in the Timaru Public School, and other business, takes place on Tuesday next. In a civil case heard this morning, all witnesses were ordered out of Court. On a rather important witness being called, some surprise was created by the individual in question getting up from a seat at the back of the Court. He was asked it he had not not heard all witnesses ordered out of Court. He said he had not. Mr White, who was appearing for the plaintiff, remarked that the fault lay probably more with the Courthouse than with the witness. Persons seated at one end of the Court were wholly unable to understand what was going on at the other. His Worship fully concurred with Mr White, and the witness was allowed to get into the witness box, it being taken for granted that he had not heard one word of the foregoing evidence.
