MAORI PRISONERS ON THEIR WAN NORTH.

Twenty five Maori prisoners passed through Timaru this afternoon per expression from the South. The Natives were occupying two saloon carriages, and included amongst their number the celebrated William Kingi. They proceed to Lyttelton, and from thence to Taranaki, where they' will be liberated. They seemed jolly enough as they r sat in their carriages, laughing and. talking together, and attracted a great many spectators about them some of whom, judging by their open mouths, had nevet seen a real live Maori before.
