Mails close at the Chief Post Office Timaru, for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under : Wednesday, Oct 6.' For Australian Colonies per Ringarooma at 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 2. For Northern Ports of New Zealand, per Wanaka, at 2.50 a.m. The next mail for the United Kingdom via San Francisco, will close at Timaru on Saturday, October 9, :and will be due in London, on Nov 23.
