WAIMATF. Wednesday, Sept. 22. (Before R. Beetham, Esq., R.M.. His Worship the Mayor, and W. J. Steward, Esq.) ALLEGED LARCENY. W. H. Jeffery, J. Palmer, and 11. Bri/.il were charged with tiie larceny of some saws and spindles, the property of John Martin-. Mr Hawkins for licensed. The prosecutor abandoned his ease owing to the absence of his counsel, Mr White, who was in possession of certain deeds. DRUNK AND DISORDERLY. T. S. Staples, on a charge of the above nature, was fined ss. CIVIL CASES. “ Waimatc Times” v J. M‘Cabc, claim £1 12s 3d. Adjourned till Oct. 7. —John Palmer and J. Bri/./.lc v J. Thomson, claim £lB 14s 3d, Mr Hawkins for plaintiffs. Adjourned till Sept. 30.-—F. Wrigg a' T. Richmond, claim £2 -Is. Mr Hawkins for defendant. Judgment for defendant, with costs, £l.—R. Hammond v. S. Green, claim £1 ; judgment for defendant, with costs, 10s. Plaintiff asked leave to appeal, hut it was not granted.
