FATAL ACCIDENT.

An accident of a painful nature oe’ curred to-day at St. Andrews, resulting in the death of a boy aged live years, son of Mr Laurcll, the stationmastcr there. It appears that the boy was assisting his father shunting some trucks when be got between two which were being pushed by a man from behind. When the trucks met the boy was caught between the buffers, and his head was so severely crushed as to cause almost instantaneous death. Dr Hammond was speedily in attendance, but his services were unavailing.
